Having just returned from the Hooters F1000 Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport), Area 81 RacingWaterfall Security Solutions car #18 took to local flavor in the Memorial Monster SCCA Regional at Carolina Motorsports Park on Sunday. After qualifying on the outside pole, Tim Pierce pushed the Firman to a 1st place finish in Class, 1st overall and took home the CMP track record in FB Class. It was an unscheduled event for the #18 team, but necessary to earn an invitation to the SARRC Invitational Championship race in October.
As a young F1000 team, the Area 81 Racing / Waterfall Security Team made a respectable showing for Rounds 1 & 2 of the SCCA Pro Racing F1000 Championship Series in front of thousands of spectators at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport). The event was part of the Victoria Day Speedfest Weekend, which is the Canadian Independence Day. The NASCAR Canadian Tire series, Trans Am and Porsche Cup also put on a show for attendees. Fireworks, live bands, great food, and corporate promotions were abundant during the event and the weather was unseasonably warm for the great White North.
