Area 81 Racing teammates Richard Franklin and Tim Pierce finished on the podium at the Oct 9-10th, 2010 SARRC Invitational Championship race. Strong qualifying from both drivers put them mid-pack against some of the strongest Formula Continental competitors in the SE Div. At the start, Richard took advantage of an open lane down the long front straight and passed 5 cars going into turn 1. He battled with # 5 FC throughout the race and maintained position with solid 1:12 sec laps. Tim had to deal with much more traffic at the start and middle of the race but put in consistent 1:12 & 1:13 sec laps to finish 3rd.

The race was won by Ken Waters in his 2002 Van Diemen Zetec FC.
