Eagles Nest Hill Climb SEDiv Time Trial Series:

Area 81 Racing Driver Richard Franklin finishes 1st in Class at the 2009 SCCA Eagles Nest Hillclimb.

Recording a fast time of 1:44.141 seconds in his Chews-4-Health Reynard, Richard was 1st in Class & 6 fastest overall out of 45 entries. After impacting a wall on his 3rd run, Area 81 Racing crew members worked tirelessly to bring the car back to competition for the next day. However, the event was later cancelled due to rain.

Al Fairier Memorial Double SARRC/MARRS Post Race Notes

May 9th & 10th 2009 – Virginia International Raceway – Area 81 Racing wins Al Fairier Memorial SARRC1 and dominates VIR podium SARRC2!

Area 81 Racing team drivers Richard Franklin and Tim Pierce placed 1st & 2nd respectively in the SARRC 1 Race at Virgina International Raceway and they podium again in the SARRC 2 race with Tim Pierce finishing 2nd and Richard Franklin finishing 3rd in their class.
